Day 1 | Wednesday
WINDHOEK
Meet your guide at the airport or at your hotel in Windhoek. Early in the afternoon head out to Katutura, where we mingle with locals at a traditional market and savour “Kapana”, a traditional spicy meat dish prepared over an open fire. Wash down the delicacy at a local “Shebeen” with an ice-cold Namibian beer while appreciating the beat of African music in the background. Bidding farewell to Katutura, we travel to a privately owned craft beer brewery at Roof of Africa to taste a selection of their local beers. Here the day ends with a tasteful dinner.

Day 2-3 | Thursday – Friday
ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After a hearty breakfast, travel north to the Etosha National Park. The afternoon is devoted to abundant wildlife. Game viewing in the park is primarily focused around the waterholes, ideal places to sit and watch over 114 different game species and 340 bird species. Late afternoon we will exit the park to our accommodation. The following day we enter the Etosha National Park again, we may encounter animal species we have not seen the previous day. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. An optional open vehicle game drive can be booked with the lodge. Overnight at Taleni Etosha Village – Breakfast and dinner.
Day 4 | Saturday
KAOKOLAND
We cross the park towards the Galton Gate to explore the north-western parts of the park. We continue travelling north towards the Kaokoland, where we reach our country lodge situated on a hilltop just outside of Opuwo, the bustling capital of Kaokoland. Spend your afternoon at leisure; enjoying the vista from the terrace of your room or from the edge of the pool.

Day 5 | Sunday
KAOKOLAND
Today we explore the local Himba culture. Your hotel has an exclusive agreement with the local authority to visit this traditional homestead. Accompanied by a guide or interpreter we are able to meet the Himba people where you have ample time to ask questions; interact and photograph one of the last remaining nomadic tribes of Africa. Head back to the modern comforts at our hotel.

Day 6 | Monday
DAMARALAND
After an early breakfast and the cultural highlight we travel further south past the western border of the Etosha National Park to the #Khoadi//Hoas conservancy. The lodge is situated within this concession, which is home to a rich diversity of game, including elephant and lion. During the afternoon, join an optional game drive.

Day 7 | Tuesday
DAMARALAND
Our stops for the day include the Twyfelfontein UNESCO Heritage sight, and a visit to the Living Museum of the Damara. Afterwards, we arrive on the banks of the Ugab River, which is home to the elusive desert elephant and our accommodation for the night. After a short journey we arrive on the banks of the Ugab River, arriving at our lodge, where we have the remaining day at leisure.

Day 8 | Wednesday
DAMARALAND
On an early morning scenic nature drive through the Otjimboyo Concession, head towards the Brandberg. Continue into the dry Ugab riverbed, in which we might encounter the elusive desert elephant. En route enjoy a light picnic light light lunch. Arriving back at the camp, enjoy the scenery or follow one of the walking trails. A highlight is the sundowner drive that offers you unforgettable photo opportunities of the Brandberg and surrounding landscape.

Day 9-10 | Thursday – Friday
SWAKOPMUND
An early departure takes us through Uis, past the Erongo Mountain range towards Spitzkoppe. Explore the spectacular scenery of the Spitzkoppe and its magnificent boulders. Departing Erongo region, continue traveling west towards the Atlantic Ocean. We arrive in Swakopmund often fondly referred to as the “playground of Namibia”, and enjoy a living desert tour.

Day 11-12 | Saturday – Sunday
NAMIB DESERT
Head south into the heart of the Namib Desert, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The afternoon can be spent relaxing or participate in optional activities offered by the lodge. The next day we enter the Namib Naukluft National Park shortly after sunrise. We visit the Sesriem Canyon, before returning to our lodge. The evening is concluded with an exceptional “Namibian braai dinner”.

Day 13 | Monday
DEPARTURE
After breakfast, we travel back through an ever-changing landscape of the Naukluft Mountain range, until we reach Windhoek. You will be dropped off at your accommodation of choice, or transferred to the airport for your outward flight.
